Chief Executive Officer, ValueClick Europe

Carl joined ValueClick in October 2001 as Chief Operating Officer for ValueClick Europe and was promoted to Chief Executive Officer for Europe in August 2006. Carl is responsible for the overall management and growth of ValueClick’s European businesses with teams in UK, Ireland, Germany, France, Sweden, Denmark, Spain, Hong Kong, China and South Africa.  The ValueClick divisions cover all aspects of digital marketing including ValueClick Media (online ad sales house), Commission Junction (affiliate marketing), Mediaplex (adserving and tracking technology) and PriceRunner (the price comparison company), as well as the company’s search and publishing divisions.

Prior to joining ValueClick, Carl served as the Chief Operating Officer of 24/7 Europe and was responsible for media and technology businesses in thirteen countries. Previously, Carl was a publisher for BBC Worldwide (the commercial arm of the British Broadcasting Corporation) running commercial and editorial teams across a number of magazine titles including BBC Good Food and BBC Top Gear, as well as UK multimedia projects such as Walking with Dinosaurs.

Carl holds a BSc. (Hons) from Bristol University.

 
Florian Gramshammer

Country manager, Commission Junction UK

Florian Gramshammer joined Commission Junction in August 2007 as sales manager for the travel division, he was promoted to UK country manager in January 2011.  Within this role, Florian is responsible for managing the commercial aspects of the UK business, growing the current client base and taking a senior role in developing marketing strategy and direction.  He is also senior client manager maintaining relationships with current clients including the likes of BMI, House of Fraser and Skype.

Prior to joining ValueClick, Florian was key account director at Emailvision where he managed strategic commercial relationships with UK's top clients including B&Q, Eurostar and Sainsbury's.  Florian also has experience with global analyst house Gartner where he worked for three years as an international account manager.  The role involved pan-European management of clients including such blue-chip companies as Microsoft and IBM.
